just finished the monster track alleycat here. holy shit, this thing was crazy. shit tonne of people. everyone brakeless. waiting around for ages to get it all rolling. finally started around 5pm. first manifest was from brooklyn to north manhattan, almost to harlem, and then 4 more checkpoints around there. then, after all that, you picked up the second manifest which forced you back down to south manhattan and into the west village, down to wall st area and then around the east village and to chinatown. new york traffic is relentless and there's cops everywhere. got chased down for cutting off a police van. i haven't looked at the actual distances yet, but i'd say around 30 miles. over 2 hours at full pelt. i took a few photos at registration and shit that i might get around to putting up. we'll see. a good few mates had helmet cams and there was shit tonnes of photographers. now i'm absolutely fucked.

and now to go get shit-faced.

Bravo! I heard from Victor that there was a fuck-up with the manifests, you wee actually supposed to get 3!
Alleycats in NYC are big, bad races. I did Monster Track 3 years ago in the snow, good times :)

BTW were you possibly talking to Cassandra (small, cute girl) who asked if you knew Graham White?

yea, i was. i was thinking to myself just after about it, and i figured it was you. since i'm not overly familiar with your real name, it took me a few minutes to put 2 and 2 together.
yea, the manifest thing was a bit retarded. we missed out on all of midtown, but the sprint from uptown to downtown was a sprinting frenzy. long and grueling and right through rush hour times square. in all fairness, i was pretty happy. the race was fucking long and hard, even with just the two manifests. if the third one was there, i'm not sure if i'd have even finished. i did manage to lose both manifests at the second last checkpoint though. pain in the ass.
